This work is focused on the expressions of love and how humans from all cultures and backgrounds express love to one another. According to Gary Chapman in his book “The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate” there are 5 love languages with which human beings express as well as receive love from one and other. These love languages are: physical touch, acts of service, words of affirmation, gifts and quality time. In this work I illustrate these through the interaction between the figures in my paintings, the expressions of these love languages are selected through ways in which I have personally seen these love languages expressed.
